Glasgow Hiccup

Well in the first week of my pledge I have run into some minor setbacks which I will talk about here because this blog is also about tackling unpredictable situations that we may face in every day life.
Last weekend I had to go to Glasgow to help a friend with a project. When traveling you almost have to be more mindful not just for the environment but for your pocket. In any case, as I had to rush from work to the coach station I left my water bottle! Nooo!
Now the journey was only going to be a few hours, so honestly I would just wait until I arrived at my destination. However I started to get a pretty bad migraine and so alas I had to find a source of water in the coach station..
People should never have to buy water but I was forced to in this situation. And so I looked for the first time in a long time at the bottled water section of the WHSmith.
I was pleasantly surprised to find a bottled water company called 'Glacéau smartwater' who use 100% recycled plastic.

Also during my weekend in Glasgow I had very little time to do the work that was needed and I started to get feverish. I was very low on energy and really needed an immune booster so I bought some bottled juice shots to help me out.
In these situations when time is limited and your health is at risk you just have to deal with what you have in the moment and make sure at least that the product is fully recyclable or already with recycled packaging.
In case you are interested in the bottle. . . (no nobody pays me for this)
And finally this whole experience made me realize that I actually need a blender to make juices and my package free oat milk. Because no matter what, when you become package free, you automatically start to eat healthier as most junk foods are indeed packaged! (Unless you live off the pastry section in sainsbury's) Which can sometime happen. .

Image three. BARGAIN! I found this blending container with drinking cap for £1.50 from cancerresearchUK.
Next I will try to source a hand blender second hand from the community in exchange for something.
