Home made Almond Milk

A lot easier than you'd imagine. And you enjoy it more because you made it!

.Soak 1 cup of Almonds in 2 cups of water for 2 days . . (the longer you leave them to soak the creamier the milk) If you use less almonds it will be a thinner texture.

.Next you must drain the water because it collects phytic acid, which inhibits the body's ability to absorb nutrients

.Place almonds in a blender with two cups of fresh water.

.Blend high speed for a minute or so.

.Apparently you should strain the almonds with a cheese cloth but I didn't have one and I like a bit of texture in my milk so I just used the sieve which worked fine

.Sweeten to taste. I used maple syrup.

.Give it a stir before pouring. . Success!
