There are many small grocery stores hidden around Edinburgh. . .

The store in the image is in the centre of the city. There are two other area's where I also like to visit. Marchmont and Bruntsfield. You can find loose fruits like this in your big supermarkets also but I feel there is a lot more variety from the local grocer and I prefer to support these businesses more than the big names.
